Sunday, my favourite day of the week where no souls can disrupt my weekend mammal hibernation. I’m just being lazy to even get up and make my own hot Milo for breakfast. Hahaha... Let the woman of the house do her job. Mommy can manage without my help. What a bad daughter I am. *evil laugh* No doubt, my weekend is still trashed by the lists of chores I made yesterday. *sigh* Boyfriend called to ensure I woken up by then. Had my breakfast in front of the TV. My kind of weekend norms to get the day started.
Then its time for WEEKEND SPRING CLEANING!!!! Hate it so much but have to do it no matter what since I had no plans today. Mom already screamed at me last week for leaving the chores behind half way through. Sorry. Hehe.. Well, what I can say. It’s my lazy day. No point reminding me umpteen times, I still won’t do. Codename: Good girl gone bad. Grabbed a ladder to reach the boxes above where most of the junks are kept. Surprisingly, there are a lot of memories left behind. No wonder I sneezes my nose off. Truckloads of dust accumulated up there for months.
Firstly, I saw my prelim exam paper which was 3 years back. I scored well. Not bad.*smile* Then more junks found. CIBTC course notes, Adam Khoo Workshop booklets, anti-drug badges, acrylic paints, broken stencils, notepad, diskettes, exam notes, cute paper bags, cue cards from first presentation, written poets and Malay essays. Not forgetting lesson plan and agenda of recent year’s unit camp. Finally, I found my sketchbook. Flip through the pages and stared at the pictures I drawn. I’m amazed.
Next I found this envelop full of pictures. Paused for a moment and reflect on those days we had. The 10th batch of NCOs had this barbeque gathering at Yew Tee. Lots of precious reminiscences cast in my mind. Tears roll down. Wished we could turn back time. Apparently, it never going to happen. Those unused junks were dumped in bags for recycle. Coming Sunday, both mom and I will bring them down to the recycling truck. Next week highlight “Go Green”.
